Concept

The arrival of spring in the Netherlands is a magnificent spectacle. The entire country embraces the season with open arms, painting the landscape with rainbows of colours. This natural phenomenon captivates not only the Dutch but also visitors from all around the world. So let’s talk numbers.
A prime example is Keukenhof Gardens, a world-renowned floral paradise that welcomed an astonishing 1.4 million people in Spring 2023 alone. All time visitors since 2008 = 14+ million. I've had the privilege to wander its vibrant pathways during three spring seasons. Numbers speak volumes.
I find immense joy in weaving stories through my paintings. This creative process grants me the opportunity to delve into history, unearthing fascinating information along the way. My paintings are more than just visual art; they are vibrant expressions of joy. My aim is to infuse rooms with the happiness and wonder evoked by colourful creations, turning them into conversation starters and even icebreakers 😉.
For me, art is a fusion of conversation and dreams, and each piece I create serves as an invitation to share in the world I've painted.
The attire depicted in this painting is inspired by Snoop Dogg's wardrobe when the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honoured him the 2651st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 19, 2018. It was during this occasion that he delivered his iconic "I want to thank me" speech.
