The Salsa and Ingrini Collaboration
With love from London and Amsterdam

About the Collaboration
Once upon a time, 2 ladies fleetingly met in their early 20’s. As time went on, both immigrated to different countries, but little did they know that 10 years later their paths would cross again and that it would be the start of a beautiful creative journey that also turned into friendship.
-
Both are independent artists doing all their business, design, production and photography themselves – one-(wo)man-bands if you will. Over the course of a year, they planned and worked on a collaboration that brought two unique styles of art into an exclusive concept to form one-of-a-kind, special miniature pieces of wearable art.
-
The Salsa Creative paints miniature landscapes in acrylic inks on archival cotton paper using a magnifying lamp and paintbrushes that are a fraction of a millimetre thick. These tiny paintings take hours of focus. Making precise brush strokes and mixing colours for subtle tonal differences to create variation and texture.
-
They are then sent from the UK to The Netherlands where Ingrini includes them into jewellery pieces, framing them with real dried petals.
